Historical Details

Farm near Cemetery RidgeThis is a categorized archive of blog posts shared during Back to Gettysburg on Tuesdays here on Gazette665. These blog posts included the real historical facts behind events in the story Blue, Gray & Crimson, semi-random Gettysburg history that I thought was interesting, and stories about the writing process of the novel.

If you are unfamiliar with the history of the Battle of Gettysburg, please start here for an introduction to the military history which often forms an important part of the background both of the story and these blog posts.

Art For A Novel: Bringing A Scene To Life

Back to Gettysburg on Tuesday blog series lasted from April 2015 through March 2016, a full year. In April 2016, a new historical series was started. Sarah will miss the weekly sharing about research on Gettysburg’s 1863 drama, but will probably continue to write about Gettysburg history as questions arise or more accounts need telling.

If you have enjoyed the information in this archive, you probably will (or have) enjoyed the award-winning historical novel Blue, Gray & Crimson: A Story of Civilian Courage at Gettysburg. Order your copy today through Gazette665’s Store and receive a signed book directly from the author!
